There are many things which are unsuitable for the majority of private investors, most of us can tell before the muck hits the fan but the regulators wait until the fan has spread said muck far and wide.Retrospective regulation is socially useless, it just produces an assortment of collective intellectual failures.Will a new regulator make any difference? With the same people involved? I won't be holding my breath.
